Snow is too rotten for snowmobiles and too deep for wheelers. Probably another month before I'd expect to see anything at my site.
If it would ever stop snowing that would help a lot. We need sunshine and 50's. Not 30's and rain/snow.
We tried Sunday and made it about 1/4 mile up the trail and ran into 2' of sloppy wet snow. Even with my ITP 589's I couldn't make it any further. Looks like another one of those years...
Good luck every one.
Steve
I figure it will be at least two more weeks and then will probably still be a adventure!
It’s been a couple weeks 20B folks. Have you been able to get in? If you have, without giving too much about locations let’s see those set ups.

Might head out that way this weekend with the barrel and see what the trail looks like.
We got bait in today and it’s greening up around us.

Anybody have insight on activity around Pump 10 Black Rapids? I am thinking about baiting that area next season and hopefully avoiding a bunch of pre established hunters.
Is there anyone who can tell me where the start of a mining rd is near tenderfoot creek just south of birch lake?

Anyone been hit? I’ve had bait out since the 16th.. About a 150 lbs of pig, dog food and a few bait em 907 products, “Chasing a grizzly”. My delta junction site had was hit by a real nice brown on the 2nd of May.
Trees are greening up and grass is starting to show. It’s finally time to put the baits out.
Yup, going to attempt tonight as well. Sure it will be a adventure!!!
Got mine out last night. There was plenty of snow still but was mostly clear at my sites. I am guessing it will be a couple weeks before anything happens and we spent most of our time clearing fallen and drooping trees!
Got hammered two days in a row. Didn’t show day before yesterday but the only thing that changed was me going in for 20 mins to check food, cam and re-scent. Hoping this one comes in tomorrow night though looks to be a toad.

Yep, time for a dirt nap.
Now that the bears are picking up, so are the unethical hunters. Last year someone stole the cam from our one site, probably because they shot a bear from our stand and didn't want to leave evidence. This also is the same year Scott was pushed off a site he'd been using for the second year. Guys told him it was *their* site and they'd been hunting it forever ... yeah, right, but who argues with 3 guys with guns.
This year we have activity on the camera that indicates someone put something over the camera and hunted our bait we've been working on all spring. There are bits and pieces of plastic and other things not bear in the edges of some of the pics, the barrel was straightened up and turned toward the camera, and then there's a long stretch with no pictures.... then the barrel shows the sticks pulled out, bait on the ground but no bear. This happened last Tuesday when we weren't there.
Just got some new visitors on mine. Sow with three cubs showed up on Friday
