Default pedestal / plaque ideas needed

I have a some antlers & painted skull that I would like to mount to a piece of hardwood that I have sanded & varnished. However need a few suggestions on possibly shaping the wood, or coming up with a alternate. Any wood working suggestions would be appreciated.

    OK......I'm assuming:

    A. you like the live edge.

    B. you don't like the straight cuts at top and bottom.

    C. the plaque is a little too large/overpowering for the skull....

my idea is: cut it into an arrowhead shape, pare the edges down with a nice sharp gouge, giving it a "knapped" look.....maybe even wrap the top with some babiche. That would look cool!

how about off center attaching mount to wood...

so the knot hole is center betix antlers...

size of wood will have more to do with where you place on wall..

You can also use a chainsaw to shape the saw cut ends, to simulate a more natural edge , then use a blow torch to burn the fresh cut to make it batter match the live edge. I like the arrow idea too, and the same torch effect looks good on those too.
