Default Tackle for Silvers on Little Su

Hey guys/gals. I was just wondering what lures works best on the lil su for silvers. Fishing from boat. Are kwikfish a good choice as they are for kings? If so what size would be best? K13 or K14? Or would casting a vibrax be a better choice?

    Thumbs up

#3 Vibrax in chartreuse (my favorite), pink, or green body with a silver spinner. Cast it right up under the brush and fish it slow.

Thanks very much for the info. Would a kwikfish work when I get tired of casting?

    Default Here's what I found

Although I didn't personally know if you could fish a Kwikfish by casting a Google search produced some good information. Here's the link to the Technical Sheets at Luhr Jensen.

    http://www.luhrjensen.com/techsheets.cfm

The Kwikfish/Chinook doc has a section on "plunking" which sounded like casting but I didn't have much time to read.

    Good luck,

    Smile Try Wiggle Warts

I normally fish #4 vibrax but have used wiggle warts for silvers in the past. I don't see why fishing a small kwik fish from a boat wouldn't work. My guess is a 13 or 14...Good Luck

I've used 'em for silvers in Delta Clearwater before. They seemed to work okay there. Mag Warts are another option for backtrolling or just anchoriing on top of the hole.

Something else to try is a Jet Diver with a spin-n-glo and/or roe behind it.

Ain't caught silvers out of Little Su yet, but will be trying it this weekend.

Cool thanks guys. I'll bring along a few k13's and see how they do.
