    Default Anyone making a G5 type that is only an attitude indicator?

    Looking at replacing a failing attitude indicator. I could just replace with another vacuum horizon or buy a Garmin G5. But what if you don't need all the other stuff in a G5? Does anyone make one that is ONLY a artificial horizon?

    That G5 is such a nice unit I would try to live with all the other great features. Iíve lost about every other instrument in the panel at one time or another...itís a sweet backup just in case.

    I agree, since you are paying less for more anyway. If somebody made a horizon only that was only $700 then that would be a different story.
    It would nt take anything to really make, my cell phone can do it...

    I was in the same boat and went with a G5, it wasn't too much more then a certified replacement, installed it was around 2800. The HSI one cost me a little more but it had the magnetometer in the wing to install
