    Default Tanana River ice conditions?

Wondering about current river trail conditions west of Fairbanks on the Tanana to Nenana? Open leads? Over flow?
Looking to make a run once cold sap easies off.

Appears that there has been some traffic traveling the river. There is a fairly decently traveled trail that I saw when I crossed the other day below town to get over into the flats. All the bad ice, overflow and open leads early in the winter still has me a little spooked of traveling on the river if I can avoid it, though I'm sure its much much safer than it was a month ago! Still some open leads in spots that are typically frozen solid as of yesterday, so use caution.

Snow today made seeing difficult but river was good. Not many open leads. Typical conditions.

Did you head downstream from Chena Pump? How far did you go?

Yes ice is good on the river. Travel to Nenana with a few open spots and over flow. But itís always changing so keep your eyes open.
