    Default Cleaning Table

Did a little cutting and bending with BKmail yesterday and got her all welded up this morning. All I need now is a bit of shark hide and some 1/2Ē Sanalite for the cutting surface. I used Traxstech tracks and risers to mount it to the transom so itís easy to remove if i ever need to.

Lol. Yeah. For lifting up the cooler full of fillets. But they are just the right size for a Plano jig box.

That came out looking great. That trax system made that such a clean install and yet completely removable.
Can holsters in the corner need a beer.
Nice job, hope the table is big enough......

Where are you buying your sanilite? What is the difference between white UHMW and sanilite?

Yes the Traxstech stuff is pricey. They sure are proud of that stuff. I love the convienience of the tracks I put along the gunnels so i figured i'd use it for the table too. My plan is to mount 2 tracks along the backside of the transom to store the table if I ever wanted it out of the way like when trolling for silvers/kings, but haven't committed to drilling more holes yet.

I'm planning on getting the Sanilite from AK Rubber. From what I understand it's a food grade plastic unlike UHMW. I used it on my last table and it always looked good and was easy to clean.

Sanalite is softer plastic (HDPE) & carries an NSF61 approval so that it can be used in the food industry. Ultra high molecular weight plastic (UHMW) is HDPE on steroids that is used in the industrial arena because of its weight, hardness & load bearing capacity which is why you probably won't find UHMW with an NSF61 rating. Because of its hardness, UHMW works great for the bottom of an airboat hull but it would make short work of a sharp knife on a fillet table.

Maybe Iím wrong on the food grade thought then. Could have sworn someone at one of the plastic shops around town told me that though. Iíve bought a bunch of scraps from Image Plastics too. Good guys there.
I just used a sponge block to sand the edges. But yeah the break made it pretty smooth already. Iím also going to line the edges with some rubber mounding to clean it up a bit.
