    Cwoods,

Any info on your gun mount? Iíve been wanting to do something similar on my SWT and your set up looks slick.

The gun mount is something I made after I bought the sled. I wanted something tucked in and out of the way yet easy to grab in a hurry. It works for me,not to many ptarmagin get away. I made one for a friend that has a SWT as well, pretty much the same as mine. I positioned them in a way that it doesnt interfere with body movement while riding.20151223_105035.jpg

I was just chatting with a fellow from Nuiqsut that has 7000, yes, SEVEN THOUSAND miles on his 900 ACE and he loves it. I would say that is pretty good testimony!

I have 19,000 miles on my 2010 SWT four stroke, but also have 12,000 on my 1997 Polaris wide track. The Polaris has all new suspension and low tranny gear but still the same Fuji engine. Both these machines are freight haulers so lots of miles. The part I'm awed by is my SWT still has the original transmission. Also scored and picked up a 2008 bearcat with only 1,200 on it. I am leaning towards 2 stroke because they are easier to work on. My partner has a 800 four stroke expedition and the timing chain broke and killed the crankshaft at 6,000 miles. They don't make the 800 anymore so had to piece it together at twice the price it should of been.

Something to think about when it comes to four stroke. I would like to buy 2 or three older 2 stroke models and fix them up before I will ever buy another four stroke. Cant trust the manufacturer to keep the same model going and if your four stroke goes down expect a long wait in winter riding conditions to get it back from the shop.

But then again I do have 19,000 miles on mine. Go figure?

There was a trapper over here selling a Skandic WT with the ETEC last winter. 14,000 KM. I was real curious if it was the original engine.

a little late to this party but love 900 ace motor i had to chime in. use one for work on the slope, started them down to -30 no problem though i do run dual batts. 900 seems to start easier than 600 or 1200 ace for some reason. lots of low end power for hauling through the deep stuff. put about 4000 miles (hauling double sigglins over bumpy tundra) on one with nothing outside of routine maintenance. now skidoos new hitches on the other hand; had some issues with them

by the way this is WT skandic. WT expy would be amazing, would worry a little here in the interior but up on the tundra nothing beats it.
