    Default Nordic DT stove cabinet

    Hi,

Just wanted to share my cabinet that I built for my boat over this last weekend. I bought a Wallas Nordic DT (diesel single burner diesel) stove since my wife was not having another year of cooking on the back deck in the rain. On starboard side behind the captains chair I did have a 40" wide bench seat (i did not want to loose the seating space) that I removed. I made the cabinet wide enough that I can have a 22" wide seat made that will go in between the cabinet and captains chair so I wont loose to much seating. I call it my "crazy rock fish" cabinet. Im going to glue marine carpet to the inside cabinet walls and weld up a tank that will feed both my Planar heater and this stove.

Sorry for the late reply, but I bought a Aluminum filler neck (with vent port) and and a Kelch gas cap with gauge. It wont reach the bottom because I installed the filler neck on a 45 (I wanted to do that for easier fueling). You can get the caps in various lengths and the one I got measures 2/3rds of the 9 gallon tank, so to me that works just fine.
