The Knik Canoers and Kayakers have scheduled the following presentations for the October 26 general program:

TIM LYDON OF THE FOREST SERVICE will briefly present thank gifts to those volunteers that helped in 2017's program clearing dandelions from View Beach in Blackstone. He will then discuss the potential Prince William Sound volunteer programs being considered by the Forest Service for 2018 and get your comments.

COMMODORE DAVE BRUBAKER FROM ALASKA'S AUXILIARY COAST GUARD is responsible for the Coast Guard Auxillary missions throughout the 3.78 million square miles and 33,904 miles of coast line in Alaska. Auxillary missions include improving recreational boating safety through safety patrols, vessel safety checks, public education as well as numerous other missions.. He will discuss the advances being worked on to make boating safer such as testing to see if the Cube SAT project can improve EPIRB, PLB (personal locator beacons) and other communications in remote areas.. He requests your input on how the Coast Guard can make your outings safer. So bring your ideas to share.

JACK MOSBY will then show photos and discuss his Freezeree trip.
