I'll be in Homer probably on Thursday, on the Kenai tomorrow evening and Friday chasing rainbows, dollies, and perhaps sockeye if they choose to show.

Fished Dangerous Reef today, silvers and pinks, more pinks than silvers one king. Everyone limited out.

Default I am headed down with family

from out of state. Planning on sat and sunday for sure, monday maybe. Where is Dangerous Reef at, never heard of it before. Also Gray where is the fingers at? Not set up for shark but sure would be hard to resist if spotted one. Maybe I will hit the gear shed down there. I hear they have good stuff and nicely priced. Will be fishing just a little south of Mount Illiamna 30 miles out from homer.

    Default Dangerous Reef

Head from Homer toward Seldovia, 2-3 miles off the coast, check your charts. Good luck, should be enough of a clue!

    Default Thanks Maniac

Will have to check that out. Always head the other direction. But if time permits or seas are rough will have to try that out. Just bought new salmon set ups. I guess I will take them along for this trip. Hear anything about the reds in China poot?

    Default Homer

Fished down riggers, 8 and 10 lbers, spread of 4, 30-50 feet down, silver spoons to pink flies, with flashers and dodgers. Too rough to see anything on the surface. Good luck.

will be there this weekend as well. Not heard any news on Silvers in the bay but the charters are catching them out and around the corner. I'll give a try around Pogi this weekend and see what shakes. Reds at China Poot have been pretty thick - picked up a few limits last week and will be headed there again this time as well.

Anyone out sees a red 24' Hewescraft Searunner with an American and Alaska state flag flying, give a shout... the "Swissy Baroo"
