Default Invitation to a talk about economic risk to floatplane pilots and fisheries from elod

I only received notification of this " event " this morning. I am in Homer and it is snowing here, so I cannot make it.... A few real float-pilots should attend.
I wonder why there was no prior warning....

    Dear floatplane pilots,

This email is a quick follow up and thank you for your participation in my 2016 survey with Alaska's floatplane pilots. As you may recall, the survey asked about your flying destinations to determine the economic damages from elodea, Alaska's first invasive aquatic plant.

I would like to invite you to my presentation of the research results, today at 7 pm at the Anchorage museum. For more information, see details below. If you can't make it, you can learn about the research here or download a copy. If you have questions, don't hesitate to call me. Thanks again for your participation in this research project.

    Sincerely,

    Tobias Schwoerer

Part of this yahoo's final observations from his report.

....reflects that flying is an expensive hobby which is enjoyed by those who are retired and have the
disposable income needed to pursue the activity.

NO... the point is that he ( without an actual knowledge of the commercial aspects of aviation) has categorized aviation as a hobby activity. Such as in not vital, being disposable, or unnecessary. He further drove in the spike by relating to to old retired people. Thus setting the stage for prohibition or at least further restriction. Very European of him.
