    Default china poot bay

Is there good fishing from the China poot bay in the middle of august? I Know there is a creek at one end that gets some salmon, but I might be interested in surf fishing if possible or may be some steel head if there are any.

    Thanks

There's the stream at the end of the bay that has a hatchery return of salmon. My family would go there way back in the day to dipnet. I don't know if it is still stocked.

I know nothing about the surf fishing, but I do know it has some of the best tidal pools to check out in Katchemak Bay. If you like exploring tidal pools, I'd deffinitly check it out.

Since it is now closer to the intended time I figured I bump this and see if I get any further responses.
It looks like there are probably silvers in the area but I am unsure if there is any surf fishing oportunities.
    thanks

Well I went out there. I was on the east side of the bay.
I guess the silvers run a little later out there. There were pinks and a few old reds. I also saw some flounder. They would chase things around but I couldn't get them to bite. Don't know what kind they were but they were 16 to 18 inches across. I was surprized at how big they were.
