    Default Class 5 boat works

Any of you folks had a look at these yet.
    Thoughts, good or bad.
Thinking the idea is good, not so much on the repairs, if any are needed.
Maybe there so tuff, no repairs are ever needed.

Thought I seen one of these down at Chitna at O-Brian creak this summer doing some testing. Fred

Interesting idea, plastic welding should be able to make repairs as strong as the original material. Wonder how thick of material they are using and if they can get it stiff enough to not flex too much in the larger designs, also curious about weight and cost vs aluminum.

How much are they asking for them?

They brought one to Deshka Landing to do some testing and I got to ride along for about 15 minutes. The one they had along was 22' or so, it was really quiet running.. we were able to talk at a normal level while on step.. If I remember right, they use 1 inch thick on the hull and 3/4" on the sides. They purposely ran it up and over some gravel and it didn't do too much to the bottom. Whatever they use seems pretty bombproof. The one major downside to me is the cost, because that boat was ~$150k the way they had it setup.

They must be pretty tough, maybe Bob will pick up the gauntlet and see how far they can go up the Goodpaster.
