    Default Alaska Mapper

For a hunt that I was lucky enough to be invited to, I wanted to do some preplanning and research the best I could. In my research I found this gem, Alaska Mapper. This has been a great tool for it allows you to put multiple layers to different maps wether it be an arial, topography, or even a street view. For layers you can add; ADFG game unit borders, park borders, trail systems, and even parcels. This is a great tool and thought I would share... happy hunting!

I use the advanced map selection.

just a word of caution when using alaska mapper. The site shows trails that cross native lands and where there are indeed trails they are managed by BLM. BLM and the State don't agree on some things like 2477s and the BLM has weight limits that you wont easily find on the web. BLM refers folks to their site for trails and lands they manage https://sdms.ak.blm.gov/isdms/imf.jsp?site=sdms

    Good warning to add.
