I have an Alumaweld Stryker. It has the 4.3 ltr with the American turbine 309 ST?. Pro. If you keep it out of the rocks, it will last years with only maintenance such as keeping it greased. It is fairly fuel efficient.
CONS: only one shop in Anchorage works on them. It cost me $1100 to have it rebuilt but was 8 years old when it needed a impeller. I hit a rock bed real hard.

    OVERALL Good Boat

They are good solid boats. Not as heavy built as a Thunderjet or Custom Weld but well built. Motors are motors. Most all inboard builders are good. Jets the same. All have their pros and cons, Not a problem. You'll be fine.
