    Default Flight instructors mat valley

Maybe sorta thinking of getting some instruction so I can get
To where I can buy a time
Builder and start getting time logged in. Anyone around the valley do this sort of instruction? I'd prefer stick time over yoke time of possible but not a deal breaker.

IIRC "Fly 'Round Alaska" (or something like that, used to be "Artic's Air Academy") operates in Talkeetna and Palmer.

Had a PA-11 at one time and -18's seemed to come and go.

Don Lee in Talkeetna is another choice. Heard great things about him, but no direct experience. Had two BFR's with Artic's....good experience.

Seem to recall that ACME Cub (in Los Anchorage, Lake Hood) would go out to Palmer or Wasilla for a reasonable fee if it wasn't the peak of their season.

With Mr. Baldwin gone West, I'd recommend either Artic's or ACME based on direct experience....suspect that Mr. Lee is as expert as they come, just can't speak directly to it.

Sorry "Biennial (Biannual?) Flight Review": After one gets their license, every two years, FAA-required time with an instructor: Not a test, but it requires some ground instruction time, some flight instruction time, and a review of critical topics. There is no pass / fail, but I think a take-off / landing is required in addition to the time. Essentially a low-key refresher / review session.

I second Fly Around Alaska (formerly know as Artics Air Academy). I recently finished up my Private Pilot License there.
