    Default Death at Lions Head

It is with great sadness that I have to report that the man killed this past weekend at Lions Head was AKDD here on the fourm. He was a great friend and co-worker of mine. Marty was an avid pack rafter and hunter who loved Alaska and the outdoors. He will be missed by many.

So sorry to hear of this. I didn't have a lot of interaction with him, but he was a respected member of our forum community. In looking back through some of his posts, he treated people with respect, and appeared to be very sharp concerning the Alaska outdoors. Very helpful to other people as well. He will certainly be missed.

Did he leave any family behind, and is there anything we can do?

    Mike,
His family is all in Sutton. Right now I think they have things in hand. The way he treated people on here is the same way in person. I worked with him for 18 years and he never failed to teach me something about work or the outdoors daily. He will be missed.
