    Default Success again...

Two bears in 17 hours....never seen either of them on camera (which I'm learning don't mean anything). They both died with bait em 907 sweet surrender on their lips. One to blue berry muffin and one to cotton candy. Kiss of death.

The color on the bear with the red barrel is amazing. Will make a beautiful mount. Congratulations

Looks like a tough tracking job on the second bear! And they don't get any prettier than that, either!

Well Jake just received information from Palmer office of a Game and Fish. The bear in the top photo had a tattoo this meant he was collared.
The history is he was Collared in May 2013 and was estimated to be 6 years old. They not only GPS collared but video also. This bear was a real preaditor it killed 42 moose calves and 2 adult cows. The amazing thing this was in 6 weeks. They took the collar off in June.
We are researching if we can archive the video specific to thi bear. On the game and fish web site they have snips of video of these beats in the study.
This is directly from game and fish.
This table is the summary of the 7 bears that provided enough footage for calf kill analysis. Your bear is 2013_0.950, he killed 42 calves on camera and interestingly a swan.

That is really all I know about your bear. Some video clips can be found on our website just type “Day in the life of a bear” in the search engine.

The paper can be found at the following link,

the article was also featured in science magazine and has some attached video.

Very cool info you got there! Thanks for getting that beast of a calf killer out of there. Well done!

Well two more bears in two days. A 8' boar and a 6'8" boar. The grizz had a bad rub on his rear end, clients gonna do a 3/4 mount coming off the wall with it. This finished up my baited hunts for the season. Learned a few things, Atv activity bad.
