Default Lower Willow Creek Report 6/14

I floated lower Willow Creek from the Parks Hwy to the Su on Wednesday 6/14. I was solo so I used Willow Creek Resort's launch ($5) and shuttle service ($20). There seems to always be wood in the Willow. However, the rootballs, sweepers, and other obstructions were easily maneuvered around in my 13' cataraft. It had been 6 years since I had floated this and I was surprised there was less wood then my last trip. The trout fishing was fair. I didn't see any kings but heard they are starting to move into the lower portion. The Su was high enough that the slough had plenty of water to allow rowing to the takeout.
