Default Alexander Creek is too low for float planes.

After watching a plane try to land here on the creek yesterday I figured it would be a good idea to post on here that the water is way to low for float planes on Alexander. One place further up would be alright for a cub, but the normal landing approaches down river are not advisable at all. Charter services have not landed here in two weeks. The water on the straight stretch is only 6 inches or less in the middle and the creek is so narrow it would be hard to get turned around on the other approach in front of the old Gabberts Fish Camp.

Trail Ridge Air is landing the PA 12 on a sand bar in front of our place so Weekenders can get here! Pretty quiet for this time of year though!

I'm up at Lake Creek and Regal landing the Beav on wheels right in front of the lodge. My plane is on floats already so it looks like I'm going to have to charter a wheel plane, darn

Water came up a bit after the rain, but not enough for floats yet! I bet the water is rising on the Yetna after seeing the majority of the rain was around there according to the radar?
