    how was your fuel consumption? Is it comparable to a small outboard?

    Youkon, I don't know. I remember reading another post and it all seemed comparable to a 4 stroke. Maybe aknative1987 can provide some more accurate info on the fuel consumption rate.

    I would think that's true, I don't have a 6-8hp fourstroke but my longtail burns very little fuel. I would assume the biggest factors are application and chosen props.

    At constant wide open throttle I burned through a .9 gallon tank in about an hour and twenty minutes. I don’t know, but there may be some varience from brand to brand, and MPH is hull dependent.

    It should work. Been a while since I have been on there. The further up you go the swifter it gets.

    if the tide is out it can be a problem, in fact if the tide is in it can be a problem , [with motor draft] as I see it SID
