    Default Montague Island landing spots?

    Hi Folks,

I am planning a trip to Montague Island for deer the 2nd week of August. I have a bush capable airplane. I know there are plenty of beaches to land on but since the deer are likely to be up higher that early, I have been wondering if there are any places to land that are up a little higher. I've studied Google Earth and I don't see any candidate spots other than beaches.

    Thanks,

    Russ Elliott

Most folks tend to keep that sort of info rather close to the vest.

Montague Island eats airplanes. And it's expensive to get them recovered from that location.
Most easy places you can land, look real hard in the bushes and you will find old airplane wrecks and parts .

If you are going the second week, the season opens the first week. You should be able to see where others have landed. Or hike on up.
