    Default Alaskan Bowhunters Banquet

Tickets for our annual banquet are on sale now. The date is April 15 at the Sheraton in Anchorage. Our guest speaker is Curt Wells from Bowhunter TV/Magazine. There will be food, raffles, auctions and awards. So come join us for this great event. Also, if you took any game in Alaska last year with a bow, fill out a Curt Lynn Arrowhead Award form on our website by March 31. You will be recognized at the banquet and potentially receive an award. All people who enter an animal in the program will automatically be entered for a special prize for a trip to Prince of Wales Island.

Took my 17th moose with my bow last August. Wonder how many others have nailed that many moose with a bow. Never been to the banquet. Never heard of it till now.

I don't know of too many people that have taken that many moose with a bow. You should have it scored and entered in our awards program. This is the 39th annual banquet so we have been around awhile.

    Hope to see you there.

Nothing to score. This years bull was a spike. I left the head with F&G. Largest one I took with my bow was mid 40's way back in the early 80's. Most of the others were spikes or forks.

Well no problem, keep the awards program in mind for next year. Our awards program does do a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, but we also do honorable mention for anyone taking any Alaskan animal with a bow as well as kids for small game. I should also mention that every child who attends with an adult (paid entry) receives a free recurve bow.

Sounds like a good time, do you ever hold events on the peninsula?

    Txbowhunter,
Responded to your PM but I don't think I've hit my quota yet to have that privilege.
I'm from Karnes City, about an hour south of San Antonio.
