    Default M70 375 H&H Receiver Question

I have a 92-93 M70 Super Express that was an early, noncatalogued, Pre-64 type CRF. My question is that on the bottom of the receiver, the mag opening is machined so that one side is very thin (almost knife edged). Everything fits and lines up as it should (mag insert, bottom metal, stock). My other caliber M70's aren't like this but they are all standard length (.300 WM, .338 WM, etc.) I know the .375 H&H requires the mag well to be machined longer, but does it also require a slightly offset, widening of the mag opening?
