Thread: Jet cones

    Default Jet cones

Has any one had any experience with the cones that have the rubber inside them? I heard that they are worth the extra money when running a stainless impeller. Any info would be greatly appreaciated.

The cone for the jet is lined with some sort of hard rubber. The idea is that when you do pick up rocks the cone does not get scoured with the rocks. Also your impeler doesn't take as big of a beating because the rubber allows the rocks to pass through easier.

I put a standard aluminum cone on this spring. At 2X the cost I can carry a spare.

If a rock will groove up an aluminum cone what will it do to a phenolic one? I would believe that it would shatter.
