Thread: Finally got my Project Wet

Default Finally got my Project Wet

Still lots to do, but it floats. Had 10 gallons fuel and used 9 of them in the 2.8 break in hours I put on the main. Ran the kicker for 1/2 hr. and it worked fine. A couple rigging issues should be resolved without too much grief. After I place the 2 forward fuel tanks and the Electra-Dyne, I'll have a 5' dance floor...maybe closer to 6'. Not all that bad for a 22' boat that has a V berth.

I lost most of my pics when I tried to transfer them to a different storage site, but I still have a few.

Batteries will go under the hatch pretty much on the center line leaving a good amount of storage space.

Top hatch was screwed down so tight that it crushed the foam core material. I removed it, scraped the foam 2" all around and and sealed in a filler frame so it was back to the original thickness. Re-installed the hatch with wide buytl tape...waterproof...

Got rid of the 32 lb door that couldn't be shut properly..it had hinges and a hasp for a padlock. I bet that was a rattling son of a gun. The replacement I built is insulated and weighs 12.5 lbs., locks and is quiet. My hydraulic helm was too high to work with the old console and there wasn't room for dual controls as configured so that went, too.

Well, It's a stealth boat...mission accomplished! Seriously, can you see the pic in post#1? I uploaded the others the same way. At any rate, its just a 43 year old refurbished beater..you've seen much better, I'm sure.

No, all I see on my end is a grey circle with a white "-" (negative) sign in the middle that won't highlight when I move the cursor over it....

Well, I'm probably not the worst computer guy on the planet but I'm pretty sure I'm in the bottom 3.
