    Default Bears stealing deer...

I think you will have to copy and paste into your browser. No, I didn't hit the bear. Just trying to scare it off. It didn't work.

Why not just shoot the bear?

Tyrex: No tag, season isn't open, draw area, not legal to shoot a bear stealing a deer, unless your life is in danger. Had we been on the beach, there would be a different story to tell.

I'm not sure this is your guide area, it was near Port Lions. If you know who has that area and takes it, I REALLY want to see it up close!

And if it is your area, I'll let you know exactly where it happened. Very unique bear!

How big do you think he is?

. South of Port lions would be Jim bailey. Horstman is over there too.
That bear is small. Maybe a 7.5' would be my guess. See how it straddles the deer and has trouble walking. Short little legs. 8' bear or bigger would have zero issue moving a deer and moving with a deer like that. YouTube BRWNBR I have a video of a bear taking a deer on there. Maybe a 8' bear and it runs with the deer.

Yup, the one I got on video must be smaller... That's a small beach deer its taking. We were out getting some groceries (boat hunting), and my daughters first deer. She would have had a second deer, but that guy was waiting for a free meal. It amazes me how he didn't even flinch with the gun shots. I was blowing dust up in front of him too him. I reviewed some gun cam footage, and he was walking out while we were shooting.

Really cool video, sure appreciate you sharing it.
Very unique bear, hoped someone gets to make a rug out of him. As mentioned, if your going to lose a deer, that's about the only way to do it!

10mm Glock with a 6" barrel. I have no illusions that it will be a one stop shot. My hopes are that I can put enough holes in a bear to bleed out before I do...lol. After seeing this happen, I think I am going to be a bit paranoid retrieving deer from the beach.

Seems like a lot of bears aren't deterred by noise. Motion and scent seem to be more important. They hear boats and airplanes all the time. I've had guys shoot and miss and the bears just wander around like normal.

Yeah, probably would have had a better chance scaring him away by motoring up closer to shore, with everybody standing up on the bow yelling and waving their arms....
Sheep hunting...... the pain goes away, but the stupidity remains...!!!

Admire your restraint. Get a bear tag and go get him later
