Brian recently asked about the old strip at Jakolof Bay. It is still there and about 800-900 feet long depending on the tide.
It is generally in good shape with assorted gravel and beach rocks. There are still a bunch of old rusty screws down by the south end.
HOWEVER, some of the oyster farmers and other aqua-culture type folks occasionally drag their gear up onto the strip / beach area. Some of this stuff looks like giant sections of hoses. So there are times when access is blocked. There are also times when city folks show up and land on the strip and then wander off on a hike, Some of these people leave their planes right in the middle of the landing area.
