Anyone interested in a knik glaicer trip Sunday? Have friends in town and would like to take them up there. Would be nice to have another boat incase of issues...

are jets necessary on that river? How does the super silty water affect motors?

I wood say that jets motors are not required however they r prefered on that river. Smaller boats with smaller prop motors have made runs up to the jim creek area but I woodnt advise to go any further up river than that without a jet. And, that silty water eats impellors fur sure..

Did you go up? How was the river? I am planning to take a group of boy scouts up there October 14-15 for an overnight camping trip. I've ran to the glacier once before - last October. It was an easy run that time.
