Default Yukon River 2016, Eagle to Circle

Went again this year. It was great fun, even though the water was high. May I recommend river left when passing the incoming Tatonduk? That was bit scary because we were riding pretty heavy.

Heading up there in 8 days, only going from Circle to the Kandik. Can't wait!

Took Osage 17' and 9.9 down rom Eagle to Tatonduk in 2008. At mouth water appeared to be at least a foot higher than river and was boiling out over jumble of logs. Hard to find mouth. Destroyed one prop first half mile. Tore off prop guard about half way. Ran up to Canada and current never slackened until almost border in the cliffs. Was once hairy trip but wild country and you don't want to get caught in big rain up there. Tatonduk comes up fast and high.

Great trip story! I once saw a lynx swim across the entire Yukon, to travel up the Tatonduk. I was guessing that maybe the lynx wanted to prey on young waterfowl that hangs near the brush or nests near the river.

Here's a few pictures from my trip last month. First time up there, definitely not the last.

Thanks for the great pictures slayer, spent a few nights in that cabin and had had a few great trips on that section of the Yukon.
