    Default yoder caribou

I drew the dc590 caribou hunt. I looked into flying out but my wife had some medical issues which killed the budget. Last weekend I hiked up and over snowbird pass from reed lakes in Hatcher Pass to a drainage that feeds the Kashwitna but didn't see any caribou. I do not have a 4 wheeler but was thinking about hiking up yoder road above the tree line to hunt caribou. Anyone with experience with yoder road trail please let me know if this is feasible. I have about 50lbs in gear I would have on my back and would bring hip boots as it is muddy. I would be doing this solo. My other option is giving up on the caribou hunt, taking our boat, and floating a river with the entire family for moose. Please anyone with experience with yoder chime in.
    Thanks
