    Default Delta Clearwater

Thinking about heading there this weekend anyone have any new reports from there. Also anyone know of any boat rentals or have a simple little johnboat they can rent me. I'm thinking about taking the canoe and floating it for a day but hate the fact that if I miss a hole I'm out of luck doing it that way.

No boat rentals or services of any type that I'm aware of. The campground where the ramp is is primitive only and floats down to the same I believe. The river floats through allot of private land. Only fishing now is grayling, too soon for silvers.

I have never floated all the way down to the lake,, but hear it can be hard to find the entrance.

Not too hard. Just stay all the way to the left once you hit the silt from the Tanana and watch for the signs. I think it's about a mile or two down once you hit the Tanana and then you have to row back upstream to the lake. But the stream is almost dead still with very little current so the rowing is easy. Good float. Monster grayling. Can be a little tricky to figure out sometimes. When flyfishing you really have to "match the hatch".

Any suggestions on the Hatch this weekend and or any spinning tackle I should take also I float it once before and feel like I remember the fish able areas be an Fewer and fewer as we got farther downstream when we boat we always go up so any suggestions on where to fish heading down or at least when to prioritize fishing above paddling

Only thing that will do that is boots on the ground. Bring a variety of dry flies, nymphs and forage patterns and experiment. That being said, if it were me I would bring a wide selection of adams, mosquitoes, gnats, parachutes, elk hair caddis, prince nymphs, gold ribbed hare's ears, and wooly buggers.
