    Default Nice roadside bull moose

Came across this handsome fellow the other day and given the time of year thought it would be fun to post these pics. He was in a four brow tine/50" area.

Hmmm. You wouldn't catch me shooting him. May be close to 50, but definitely not much over it... Not worth the risk! Nice bull and pictures though!

I think he is somewhere in the mid fifties, but having never had a moose tag in my pocket, take it for what it's worth

He is a handsome lad for sure. Pretty sure I wouldn't squeeze the trigger on im though. I'd put him in the upper 40's. I saw a couple young fellers on the Glenn by Ft Rich sunday morning.

He's closer to 60 than 50. Look at the two widest points in photo number two, and know the outside eyeball to eyeball measurement is 10". Great looking bull.

I have a program called PixelStick on my computer. It takes a known measurement, like the eyeball, set the "standard" and then I "measured" the widest points. Assuming 9 inches for the eyes, better safe than sorry, that moose is just a touch over 57 inches.

    Nice looking bull.

Since we'll never know, I'll throw my guess at it... 54 inches. I wouldn't shoot him in the first few days of the hunt.

That first picture and being on my phone really threw me off. After I got home and got on the computer and looked that that last picture I would say that is definitely a shooter. Probably closer to 60"

My Dad always told me.. don't pass on an animal the 1st day of the season if you wouldn't pass on him the last day.
