    Default Fish Creek

With poor Coho reports pretty much everywhere, Look like I may try Fish Creek this weekend. I know nothing of this fishery. Anyone been there before? Good spot for fly fishing or it is casting? Any insight anyone has, hell even where to fish there, would be much appreciated.

Was there this morning, fished approx 2 hrs before and after high tide. Did not see many Silvers. A few reds, pinks and chum. Most left empty handed, a few with 1 fish. Nothing like last year at this time. You can fly fish just before the stream narrows and turns the first corner. Just around the corner there is a hole but it's narrow and there are overhanging trees (more like flipping) there. Honestly, I would give it a miss...3 Rivers noted that there are silvers and reds in Cottonwood.

Did Cottonwood last Saturday and Sunday.
Seems like the people who did the best would go with a few other guys, because they needed a lookout.
They would take a "landing net" that would cover the entire width of the creek.
Also... take out their catch in black trash bags so you couldn't see how many fish, or if there were any hook marks in the mouth.

While I'm sure there are people there abiding by the laws, it seems like there were people with at least their limit if not more, and people with none, no real in-between.

I fished the incoming on Friday morning. Also hiked all open water of the stream. Slim pickings! Saw about 20 fish in the creek. 3 reds, 1 chum, rest pinks. Im sure I missed fish, as there is just enough water to not be able to see into the deeper or turbulent runs. There were a few fish coming in with the tide: had I fished through it Im sure I could have caught 2 silvers, but it would have been a lot of work.
