    Default Haul road fishing

We are coming up in September to caribou hunt on the haul road and wondering how the fishing is in the sag, is it worth bringing fishing gear or stick to hunting?

Yes, bring fishing gear. Grayling almost always around plus char depending on timing.
    Spinners catch most everything.
Good luck and report back with pics.

there are a number of creeks that feed the sag all along the haul road. We fly fished several and enjoyed the grayling. Our luck in the river was chancy at best. At Happy Valley there is a creek that crossed the road and the graying are easy to catch. Just remember to eat them soon after you catch, they do not keep well, at all. Char are good up in the feeder streams by Deadhorse. Need a bit heavier tackle of them. Good luck
