    Default salvaging salmon eggs

Is it leagal to salvage salmon eggs from dead fish on the banks? On several occasions I have seen large numbers of dead salmon next to the bank but was never sure if I should try to salvage eggs.

    Default Eggs

Don't waste your time the eggs in dead fish spoil very fast.

So it's not a matter of legality? It's just that the eggs spoil in side the fish.

I thought the salmon died after spawning, (ie after laying their eggs.)??

for some reason some fish die before they spawn. Quite often a shock to their system will cause them to die prematurely. Thats why the regs are fairly strict on reliece procedure.

    Default Harvesting dead Eggs

There may be a legality issue of stripping eggs from dead fish on the bank. How are you going to prove to a trooper the egss were not stripped from a live or illegally caught fish?
