Default Quartz Creek (kp) too early or too high???

Is it still too early for dillys on beads on Quartz Creek?
Also I know it's high but is it too high?
Have to drive from Kenai to Anchorage tomorrow & wondering if I should throw the rod in and leave early

It looked real clean and in good shape when I went over it Saturday afternoon. I would try it.

I camped there last weekend. Water was up and moving but not dirty. The people made it look and feel like the Russian on opening day. Go deep and far to get away from combat fishing

How was the fishing, Chuck? I fished a few times a couple weeks back and it was hot but I had heard it is starting to taper off.

It was starting to taper off quite a bit on the 22nd when I was there.

So I take it that Sept is really a dead month for Quartz? Never fished it before and was planning on giving it a shot this time around.

I fished it this time last year and did ok. Still lots of fish around, just better educated. If the water is low and clear though it can be tough.
