    Default Northern Pike?

What salt water fish closely resembles a northern pike? I pulled one out of one the the bellies from a halibut I caught in PWS and looking at it I swore it was a 16" pike. Don't have a photo of it but it's on my GoPro which I'll edit and post later..

I know set netting back when I was a teenager we every once in a while caught pike in our nets in Cook Inlet that were apparently hopping rivers according to the fish and game people. Dunno anything about pike in PWS though. That seems like a huge stretch for a river hopping pike.

    That was my first thought.

That would be my guess... The halibut was only 20 lbs and the **** thing had a 16-18" "ling cod" in it. I would say for sure that's the closest thing that I could find that looked like what was in the belly. I'm up at work so won't be able to look at the GoPro for a couple weeks...
