I came real close to owning one once. We were within a few dollars of making the deal. If I weren't so bull headed I could have taken it home for $400. If I would have understood that the $400 included a new Leupold fixed 4x scope in Talley bases I would have jumped on it
I have handled several but have not shot one. I like the heck out of what I see. I could see using it in thick cover with a peep in the rear and no scope.

Ya can't argue with what's been proven! I'm thinking that had it been me that day.......the turd in the woods thing would be past tense. Beside that hog hunter would be kinda awkward hanging from your suspenders😉.

I can vouch for the AK Brush Hunter in .338 Winmag which as far as I can tell is the same as the Hog Hunter minus the threaded barrel for a suppressor. It is my 2nd Savage in .338 and they are tack drivers.
