    Default Harlequin Help

    Hey all,

I wanted to reach out to the waterfowl community to see if anyone could help me out. Recently someone broke into our home and stole lots of our hunting equipment and mounts from our trophy room. One particular mount that was taken was my dad's prized harli. He shot it on a hunting trip together in AK and it was a good reminder of us spending time together. I would like to replace the mount for him for sentimental reasons. However, my dad is in declining health and between school and work I'm in no position to take another trip out west. Is there anyone out there who would be willing to gift a harli or blast one for me this upcoming season? Willing to reimburse for shipping/shells uses/gas money etc. Give me a holler at waterfowlgal93@gmail.com or on here if you can point me in any helpful direction. Thanks!

What would be the best way to send a few Harlequins? They're thick as mud ducks here later in the year.

I think I would just freeze them & send them express mail or two day service late Nov. when its cold at both ends.
I will be heading to Mnpls the 10th of Nov. depending on where they need to go I could throw them in my luggage if you can get a couple to Anchorage

If you don't find any takers and are still in need, and willing to pay shipping, I will send you one.

That would be awesome AKMarmot! I live around 30 mins from the MSP airport. I'll pay any shipping needed to get some over to you in Anchorage if need be.

We usually don't harvest more than we need regarding mounts etc. it's a pretty easy bird to get up here. Keep in mind that they really look better later in November and the "pin" feathers are set by then allowing the birds to be skinned much easier without losing feathers.

keep us posted as we get closer to the season.
