    Default trap size suggestions

Looking for suggestions on trap sizes, brands, and long spring or coil spring for interior fox and lynx. Thanks for any info..............

    Default sizes

I like to use #2 coils for fox, but surely up that to #3 and #4's for lynx. I guess the thing to remember is that you can catch "anything" in a set in the winter, so being a big bigger won't hurt anything. There is always a chance of a wolf or wolverine being caught in a trap set for fox and lynx.

  3. #3

    Default #4s

I would go with #4s. Like the previous post mentioned, you never know what might hit your sets. I prefer #4 Victor Long Springs - they hold really well for me. Good luck...

    Default trap size

Thanks for the info, I was thinking along the lines of a #3 or #4. Are there any pro's and cons of using offset jaws? I was thinking the offset jaws might be a little better for fox when using the bigger traps. Thanks

    Default offset

I would use the offset jaws. The reason I like the #2's for fox is the larger traps seem to break the bones on fox. Good luck!
