    Default Kings in Kodiak techniques

Wondering what tackle/techniques you have all used to hook up with kings in the Kodiak road system?

You're talking small water. For fly fishing the biggest trick is to get away from the snaggers and flossers to find fish that will actually hit. When you find them, get back out of sight and stay low so they aren't rattled by you and your movements. After that it's testing to see whether they want a fly stripped from upstream or dead drifted from the side or downstream. That varies with time of day and weather. Colors also vary from day to day, but universally you have to fish them within about a foot of bottom even in the deepest holes. Black, chartreuse, lavender and pink have all produced this year.
