    I'm detecting some parabolic lens magic in that photo... (I don't think that gear's as large as it appears).

    No matter how big the rack is, this is still a nice looking bull! It will be interesting to see him later in the summer when his rack has stopped growing.

    He's not going to add much more antler, because it's already July 10th. He'll lengthen a bit more at the tops of the palm, by defining whatever tines he's going to have back there, but he isn't going to add much more width. In actuality, he only has about 2-3 weeks of development remaining. After that, it's basically just hardening of the antler before velvet is stripped shortly after August 20th.
