Default New regs posted. Now open in all units, griz over bait.

Not to mention eliminating that third tine on spike forks that sometimes grows right next to their head as a legal point.

Great more crap we gotta spend time staring at in field conditions.

This should get interesting. Most have a hard enough time figuring out age let along where the lamb tip ends.

I don't think grizz over bait is open in all units though...

I was skeptical, but it is right there in bold print on page 5 of the 2016-17 regs. under the Hunting Changes section.

I'd be willing to bet that means IN areas that baiting is allowed meat salvaged is not required. Not that all areas are open to baiting.

There is this quote on page 31 describing a spike-fork moose that appears to be a change from previous regs: "A point or tine originating within two inches of the base of the antler and less than three inches in length will not be counted as a brow tine.
    "
Is that what you were looking for? I'm not sure if you were referring to something else.

I really doubt that Kodiak is open to baiting brown bears. I think it should say- All units THAT ARE open to brown bear baiting.....

Yeah, it looks like that is what they meant. Poor wording there, but like BRWNBR noted in his post, page 27 shows which areas are specifically open to brown bear baiting, meaning those not listed are not open.
