August 2016 Wilderness First Responder Course in Palmer
The WFR is the perfect course for anyone working in a position of leadership in an outdoor orremote setting or for individuals who want a high level of wilderness medical training forextended personal backcountry trips or expeditions.
The WFR is 72-80 hours and provides a comprehensive and in-depth look at thestandards and skills of dealing with: Response and Assessment, Musculoskeletal Injuries, Environmental Emergencies and Survival, Soft Tissue Injuries, and a variety of other medical emergencies. Training is presented in a fast-paced, interactive manner that allows students to learn in a classroom setting that is both didactic and experiential. Students learn through acumulative educational model that includes lecture and hands-on skill practice. This course also includes healthcare provider CPR.
The hybrid schedule for this course was developed for those that have busy work schedules. Class will be held from approximately 8a-8p on the following dates:
