    I have a chance to go out to cabin and like to know how the anchorage is if protected from wind and depth of water thanks

    It is very protected. Not very deep, maybe 20-40'.

    About as bomb proof as you'll find. Like MrFish said, very protected.

    The bottom is mud and eel grass. I had a claw style anchor drag on a windy day at high tide that could have been bad if I hadn't checked before the tide started to ebb. Best to use a danforth type anchor or better yet tie of to land and drop a stern anchor.
