Default What is this electrical connector for on Merc. Sport jet?

    Hi-

So, we were boating all weekend.. No problems. Popped the hood at home and saw that this connector was not plugged in...hmmmm...

This is located behind the starter on the starboard side.

Thanks and hope everyone had a nice Memorial Day weekend boating,

    Mike

Looks to be a spare for something or a test port.
Seems to me it should be plugged in that termination plug on the back of the ECU.
Top right corner, right behind the loose plug.

It's the diagnostic plug connection. Just plug it into the cap/holder on top right.
