Nothing that I know of that's really close... I always go to Big Lake, and launch from Burkeshore Marina. They have a nice little dock, water is always calm, and enough people around to give you a tow if something major goes wrong. Stop in Wasilla at Locals for a couple beers and a pizza on the way home... makes for a good day out.

Wasilla or Big Lake are about your only choices. We did Big Lake yesterday it was a pretty popular place.

Wasilla lake is closed right now. Finger Lake in the valley is the closest

Depending on boat size, 20 mile may be an option?

Thanks for all the suggestions. It's a 20' with outboard. I thought about 20 mile but not really sure how to get down that bank.

Big Lake is a far better option than 20 mile.

Quick motor test at Ship creek then ran out to finger lake! Worked great, thanks to all for the info!

Great news!...Congrats! When I suggested Ship, I realized that it isn't much of a fishing jump off point....but I've enjoyed the several times I've launched at high tide just to fiddle around for a couple hours for zip money....also, not a bad ramp and way cool to be the only guy in line.
