    Default Montana Creek

Anyone fished Montana lately? We are thinking of heading up that way today. Also wondering where to fish Peters Creek as we are here in a rental cabin on Oberg Rd. We flew in this yr ,so no boat.
Don't inow if my last inquirery was posted. Sorry if I doubled up.

I had friends fish it all weekend (at least up to last weekend was still weekend only) and they all limited out. From Pics the fish are starting to blush out, but they are there and in catchable numbers.

    Default Monday the 2nd

We were there Monday the 2nd and fished it before it closed at midnight. There were a lot of fish being pulled out the two hours we were there.

How was the fishing? Were other people hooking up? Were there a lot of people there? What were you using?

    Default Parks highway streams

Nope, all those streams are 1 per day/ 1 in possession. I have seen many people violate this regulation this year.

It was hot! 5 of went out to the midnight opening and we all limited in 1.5 hrs including my 8yr old son. Biggest fish was 45lbs, smallest was 20lbs.

No, the limit is one each. everyone that was fishing around us all limited or at least hooked up with a fish. Some hooked quite a few and there were alot of lines snapping. I was drifting a spin-n-glo.

How would you guess it is now? Is it by far hotter during the opener than the rest of the weekend?

I went back early this morning. Not too many people, but unfortunately not too many fish either. My wife was the only one I saw hook up, and it must have been foul hooked, as it almost spooled her downstream...never stopped pulling drag. No one else hooked up (at least not from the bridge up to the first bend) in the 3 hours we were there.
