It has been many years since I have been sheep hunting or able to hunt sheep. When I was much younger I enjoyed many hours in the high country. In reading articles in the last issue of 'Wild Sheep' that was about hunting sheep in Alaska. These were well worth reading, but what caught my attention was the mention of the money that came to Alaska for sheep management and Fish & Game in general. One article mentioned that there was $2.2 million to the Dall sheep program in Alaska. In another article, it mentioned another $160,000 in funds that came to Alaska for Dall sheep projects.
I understand that the AK DF&G has large budget and that the State as a whole is having money issues, but are these funds being spent wisely for their intend purposes?
